1. Why are you personally on Twitter ?

On Twitter, I can easily share my love for museums in general and participation in cultural activities in specific. I aim to inspire people and show them how much fun stuff there is to do out there.

2. Why did your museum registered to the MW?

Because Museum De Lakenhal wants to be in constant dialogue with visitors, followers and curious new international contacts. We wonder what they make of us, why they love our collection or how they think we could position us better in their world. And of course, we’re curious about the creative ideas people come up with when posing in, at, near or inspired by the museum.

3. Which Twitter accounts do you recommend for people interested in museums?

There’s too much to choose from, but:
ARTtube is a great place to watch hundreds of video’s on art and design: @ARTtube_EN
Every year in September, Leiden hosts the festival Night of Arts & Science, a fantastic collaboration of many partners in the city to make cutting-edge art and brand new science meet up with a wide audience: @kunstenkennis
