1.Tell us what you do and your beginnings.
I remember like it was yesterday that I build as kid in my room a huge world from toys. I was mixing between the world of Heroes, to Pokémon, Disney everything to together and everything it was a different adventure; I was building the elements of the world from pieces of plants and stones that I found outside my home, build it for hours like I was building are castle, and that’s was the one thing that makes be focus and dream to bring everything into life.
These characters, to see them next to me and to go with them into the adventure I was made everything. I was also sitting for days to draws stories about these characters, trying to make them live the real world with us.
2.What does your work aim to say?
In my artwork I reimagine familiar Disney, DreamWorks and Pixar characters with naughty twists and bad habits. Unlike most artists in the field of 3D, I chose not to enter the film or video game industry, instead using my skills to change the way 3D art is valued.
A 3D artist is multidisciplinary artist specializing in many different art forms, from sculpting to painting and lighting, all in the digital realm. 3D artist is a digital artist (sculpt, paint basically doing everything) “the new generation of art” mostly for movies and gaming. I choose not to enter the film or video game industry, instead I am using my skills to change the way 3D art is valued.
3.Where do you find inspiration for your art?
My inspiration came from my childhood, the TV shows and movies I watched, that is the only thing that was matter to me as a kid. I always felt as a kid that my love to characters is different, everything that I did was around these characters, Pokémon, Disney, Pixar. My inspiration for all the fashion I am doing came from my home, my family are dealing with fashion for 30 years.
4.Could you give us some insight into your creative process?
A great idea comes from the heart and the soul usually for me at least in at moment that you’re not expecting, kind like when you’re falling in love, so it’s the same case, I’m falling in love every time that I’m creating a new artwork. It’s start with an idea, then I’m starting to sketch until I feel that the concept is perfect.
After this I’m starting to sculpt the model, after the modeling I’m making the texture, then look development, creating the fur, lighting, render and postproduction for the final touch. For the prints I’m using almost one of a kind print machines (only 3 machine like this are exciting in the world) the print created in 400 degrees, with golden leafs in the back of the print. For the sculptures I’m using full bronze.
5.What are your future projects?
These days I’m starting big tour of exhibitions around the world, Mykonos, Miami Art Basel, NYC, London, Dubai and more… My plans are to keep doing what I am doing just bigger, with 8 meters sculptures and huge prints with huge events and exhibitions. Also doing collaborations with super brands house my artworks with their fashion as limited-edition collection.

Gal Yosef (Israel, 1994 ) is the first 3D artist to be invited to NYC-based Eden Gallery. Only 1 out of 4,000 applicants are accepted annually to Eden Gallery making Gal’s achievement even more exceptional. His works are exposed around the world in Eden’s Galleries: Dubai, London, Miami, Soho, Mykonos, Israel, Las Vegas and more.
Gal starts on 2021, a worldwide tour of exhibitions, the first exhibition is this month, July, at Nammos Mykonos with a special guest the rapper A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie who purchase from Gal a few artworks already and Gal even design his Album. His second exhibition will be at Art Basel Miami this coming September. Gal is collaborating with one of the biggest singers in the world Justin Bieber, and a part of the collaborating with Justin Bieber is ‘drew house’ the fashion brand of Justin Bieber. Another collaboration Gal doing these days is with the musician and producers as rapper A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie who even mention Gal in his songs.
The 3D artist was chosen to be the official artist to make the NFT of Popeye character ‘Popeye X Gal Yosef’. In his artwork, Gal reimagines familiar Disney, Pixar and Looney Tunes characters with naughty twists and bad habits mixing inside of his artworks along with brands like Louis Vuitton, Hermes, Chanel, Gucci and Prada. Gal Yosef is based in Israel.
